Control your follow-through.
Develop your visual tracking and recoil management so your sights are always returning to the same point. Every shot.
Why this drill matters:
Most shooters don't realize that consistency between shots and effective recoil management is hard to develop. This drill isolates the skills required to develop that consistency through visual and mechanical feedback.
It also reveals:
Rushing to shoot without visual confirmation
Grip degradation following recoil
Lack of mental discipline through string of 3 rounds
Set it up:
Distance: 5 yards
Target: Upper A-zone
Rounds: 3 per rep
Reps: 5
Start Position: Full Presentation
How to run the drill:
From full presentation, fire 3 shots per rep, with a brief pause between each shot.
After each shot, track the sights as they lift and return.
Avoid blinking or rushing. Instead, think of each shot as its own task: fire, follow, finish.
The second and third shots should be just as disciplined as first.

What you are actually training:
Post-shot accountability: You are reinforcing the habit of staying engaged after every round shot.
Grip consistency through the finish: You are learning to maintain hand pressure and support until the rep is truly over.
Visual follow-through: You are training yourself to hold sight picture while tracking your sights rise and fall through recoil.
Trigger reset without rush: You are building calm, steady reset control during the recoil phase.
Mental discipline under low stress: You are developing focus even when the timer and pressure feel absent.
Drill Tips
The best shooters finish like they start. Focused, locked in, and committed.
